Vicente A. Mejia, MD, FACS

Dr. Mejia, board certified through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons  (FACS), specializes in general surgery as well as hernia surgery with additional certification in surgical critical care and trauma. Dr. Mejia joined University Surgical Associates in 2005.

Dr. Mejia has office hours at the Erlanger Medical Mall on Monday (9:30-noon) and Wednesday (1 – 3 pm), and performs surgery at Erlanger Hospital, Parkridge Hospital and the Plaza Surgery Center at Erlanger.

Dr. Mejia is an associate professor in surgery, Department of Surgery, for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga.

Dr. Mejia is fluent in Spanish and passionate about caring for patients in the Hispanic and Latino communities.
