The Chattanooga Surgical Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organization that serves to educate and equip surgical residents and fellows during their training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine (UTHSC) here in Chattanooga.
Many surgeons at University Surgical Associates (USA) have trained in the UTHSC/USA program.
Our Mission
To educate and empower the next generation of surgeons as they prepare to care for their communities.
About the CSF
The Foundation was created by surgeons at USA, all of whom are faculty members of UTHSC and involved in training the next generation of surgeons.
The Foundation Board of Directors is made up of doctors who are passionate about medical education and patient care:

- Dr. Heath Giles
- Dr. Michael Greer
- Dr. Rob Headrick
- Dr. Jeanne Scanland
- Dr. Dan Stanley
- Dr. Laura Witherspoon
Through the support of the Foundation, USA surgeons work closely with surgical residents and fellows in the ethics, art and science of surgery.
