R. Phillip Burns, MD, FACS
Dr. Burns, board certified through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), specializes in breast surgery. Dr. Burns jointly founded University Surgical Associates in 1976.
Dr. Burns has office hours at the Erlanger Medical Mall Tuesday (1 – 5 pm), Wednesday (10:30 am – noon; 12:30 – 4:30 pm), and Friday (10 am – noon). He performs surgery at Erlanger Hospital, the Plaza Surgery Center at Erlanger, Parkridge Hospital and CHI Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Burns is a professor in the Department of Surgery, University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga, and Chairman of the Board of University Surgical Associates.
