He began his healthcare career in 1982, serving as the administrative resident for Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. From 1983 to 1988 he served in various administrative roles, including executive director at the Rebound Head Injury Unit in Mobile, AL. In that position, he also directed the Women’s Diagnostic Center and a surgery center.
In July of 2001, he resigned his position with WHP to become an assistant professor at Lee University (Cleveland, TN) where he instructed courses in business management, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior and health administration. He also directed the university’s internship program.
A native of Long Island, NY, Mr. Sarine earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA), and his master’s in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA).
